Fluids Analysis Specialist

Job Description:
As a Fluids Analyst Specialist you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance and execution of studies related to high pressure fluid analysis along with documenting and communicating results to Project Engineers. You will use your scientific expertise under general supervision to execute fluids analysis projects relating to PVT, enhanced oil recovery, flow assurance and composition.
Job Duties:
Safely perform PVT, EOR and flow assurance studies under general supervision.
Work with pressurized and heated fluids and equipment in a laboratory environment.
Collect data, make observations, write reports, and keep detailed records.
Timely communication with project engineers on any experimental results and findings.
Apply technical skills to solve problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
Take direction as well as make independent decisions regarding routine problems and methods.
Work as part of a highly skilled team, using some of the most advanced fluids analysis equipment and procedures available in the industry.

2-year Chemical, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering Technology diploma
Experience desired but not necessary
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
Strong technical abilities
Adaptability with excellent problem solving skills
Intermediate computer skills
Strong sense of initiative, leadership, and team orientation
